Spare underwear and tshirts always seem to work for us. Or, bring swim bottoms to wear in bed and a tshirt for the top works also. Lack of excessive modesty is always a help.

Sounds like you are off to a good start and the weather is promising for tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you (and Schnooks) in Sault.

Hi Rich and Robin, Ann and Steve here. We are returning to Toulouse on April 25th and looking forward to checking out the Canal du Midi and "environs". We will head south to Carcassonne and then on towards the Mediterranean. We would love any suggestions you might have for checking out your corner of France. annmaher1@yahoo.com

I'm all for the notion of keeping things manageable and relaxed, just not very good at it considering our furious plan for the year. Looking forward to following your adventure on the new rig.

Hi Rich

Re Rohloff - I will give you weight and twin cable runs but not so sure about field serviceability with electronic shifting!

Rohloff hubs are an amazing technology and work great for many people. For our parameters, though, they’re not the best solution. We don’t need the advantages of extended gear ranges that Rohloff offers. So for us, weight, cable runs, and field serviceability tipped the balance in favor of a 1x12 SRAM wireless solution. Others may (and are encouraged to) arrive at different conclusions. :)

Did you consider a 1 X 14 Rohloff?

Otherwise a beautiful bike.

Looks like a sweet ride!

As Suzanne indicated, there will be a trio of CycleBlazers pedaling around Provence the first week in May - it would be great to see you and Robin again if weather and plans permit.

What a beautiful looking machine! Belt drive and disc brakes…looks like you are set to ride just about anywhere. Enjoy your tour of Mt. Ventoux.

Haha! That's why I put the scare quotes around it. I figured there might be other refugees from the software development world around.

I don't miss it either, although it's hard to believe it's been 7 years since I wrote a line of code.

Use cases! There’s a term I haven’t heard in over six years and haven’t missed. Very excited for you and your new ride. Also, quite envious of the idea of just casually popping over to Ventoux when the mood strikes you nd the weather looks right.

Sounds like a great ride! I look forward to reading all about it.

Sounds like an excellent plan! I hope you get a window of good weather asap! But if it doesn't happen until May, Susan Carpenter, Janos and I will be on the stretch between Sault and Carpentras between May 4 and May 8. Wouldn't it be great if we could all meet!
