Day 4 - Turtle Time

Today we started out with a real hot breakfast. Isabellas B&B breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, grits, english muffins, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. I could have ridden to China with that much nutrition. The forecast called for rain, and it did rain, just not on us. Another great day on the Natchez Trace Parkway with very little traffic.

As I rode along I encountered this fine fellow getting ready to cross the road. I stopped and asked, "Whats up?" He responded, "Just getting ready to cross the road. " I asked, "Why are you crossing the road." He responded, "I am in search of some fine, slow moving lady turtles." I picked him up, carried him across the road and let him go into the woods. I said, "You are a fine looking dude, I'm sure you will find what you are in search of." Now if anyone asks you, "Why did the turtle cross the road?", you can provide them with an answer. The moral to the story is: Don't let an opportunity for Good Karma pass you by. Also, I never met a turtle I didn't like.

Bill ShaneyfeltGood on the turtle rescue! Rescues will probably be frequent any time you are riding near a lake or stream for the next couple months. This time of year, females are out hunting a good spot to lay eggs.

Our travel director Jeanna received a call from the Hampton Inn informing her that the first floor rooms that she had requested when making the reservation were not available. They wanted to know if it was OK to put us in the second floor Suites and give us additional bonus points.
