4 years agoJeff,
Deviations from planned routes add to the adventure, as I'm sure you know. Iowa is fun, with enough gravel roads to keep you happy.
Looking forward to when you arrive in Des Moines and are back online.
Jeff
Yeah, I use the excellent Iowa Bicycle Map to plan routes when I'm in Iowa. There's no reason to ride on busy major highways in Iowa.
4 years agoSorry about your laptop, but thanks for letting us know. A tip, in case you didn’t know already - when you cross Iowa, don’t choose Route 2, the one just north of the Missouri border.
4 years agoThanks, Ione. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I've altered the route I had planned, and will be in Iowa, at Ruth's house, for a couple of days. Do you have any tips for preventing those two cats from crawling on me while I sleep? I seem to recall you had some experience with that...
