Day 21: Ebor to Dorrigo

Start: 8:00am
Distance: 55kms
Ride time: 3:18hrs
Average: 17km/hr
Max: 61km/hr
Finish: 3:30pm

Last night was cold and I was snuggly in my warm sleeping bag. I woke up to low cloud and misty rain.

The local cafe opened just as I was about to leave town. I stopped without a second thought to have a big hot coffee.

I arrived in Dorrigo at lunch time. It was a quick ride. I had 483 metres of uphill and 1,030 metres of downhill! Yippee!

I went a few kms out of town to the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre. This is the view of the valley.

It took me 2 hours to do a 6.6km walk through the rainforest. It was amazeballs. Here's just some of the pics I took:

Vince McCarthyHehehe. Perhaps. It was only a small one. And red bellies are so tame they're almost friendly.
I wouldn't be that close to a huntsman spider. Yuk.

Bill ShaneyfeltMarvellous nature photos! Especially the red belly... Not many folks would stop, let alone take such a great photo! Fungi shots too, but IDs for fungi are always tricky.

Thanks for posting! I'll never get to Oz myself, so it is a treat to follow along!
