Curve in the Road

90 Mile Bush Camp to Balladonia

Today was not an easy day. Backing up to do 117km against the wind following a 135km day was fatiguing. Nevertheless the free roadside campsite (with toilets, bins and a table) last night was excellent, and the sunrise on the 90 Mile Straight Road was exceptional.

By sunset today we arrived in Balladonia and into the comfort (i.e. with running water) of a motel room of the Balladonia Roadhouse.

The campsite. Part of an official free roadside camp facility provided by the WA government. Very kind of them.

A few kilometres from the campsite. This telecommunications site explains why we had such good phone signal last night.

That’s Balladonia. It’s not a big town. We arrived at sunset.
