I opened your blog for mom and dad the other day, showed them your pictures and where you were, they were very impressed!

Get off the road! It means they will be running the bulls down the road to an arena where they will show them. Usually the road side is barricaded but there are always some fools who try to run with the bulls. We saw one of these manifestations one year in Arles. Pretty impressive.

Sorry you had a fall! I’m sure it doesn’t help that you’re carrying more because of camping. Take care!

A little stiff on the back as I rolled onto it to save the shoulder. All good though now that’s been a few days. Thanks.

Thanks Steve, trying to stay safe! Thanks for reading our blog. We are enjoying yours as well. You are brave to continue battling the cars with roads being so unpredictable in the interior of Portugal

Am glad Ann’s spill wasn’t any worse. Hope she’s not too stiff and sore in the morning.

Argh, that is how Dodie 1. Fell off her bike and broke her shoulder/got a concussion "excessive speed", 2. Fell off her bike and broke a rib "A moment of innatention". Be alert and not too fast, we want to follow you for the whole tour!

I was just reading about this. Apparently a fungus was brought over during the Second World War from the states via the troops ammo boxes which were made of sycamore wood. Who would have thought…..

Good choice! It's really pretty countryside up there, and Minerve is a pretty little village. I'm going to have to check out that restaurant!

Kudos on the pivot and grabbing the moment. And thanks for putting the town and restaurant my radar

You guys are going to enjoy your first trip without the camping equipment. Your panniers will be so light.
