Actually I was being serious! Your ability to fall in love with these little towns resonates with the romantic in me.

Agree about Seaside and Redmond, though...and maybe La Jonquera near Figueras. :)

Sounds like you’re trying to find a nice way of saying I’m undiscriminating. I do have some standards though. I’m not really keen on Seaside or Redmond, for example.

Scott, I just love how you fall in love with every place you visit. It’s an endearing trait!

Ugh! That always feels unfair to me 😂.

Oh, OK. That probably does make more sense.

Oh, so lucky to have the lights turned on! It's just amazing. I love it so much. And the mausoleum isn't too shabby either! The couple holding hands is wonderful.

Well, now I’m envious. Great story.

He came to Corvallis too, and I ushered at the concert. Afterward he gave me a copy of the album 'Riof', which is probably still around somewhere. Then we all traipsed across the street to the pub and more local musicians showed up and jammed with this great fiddler and singer/songwriter. An unforgettable evening.

It really does have a special quality here, doesn’t it? Especially in the winter months and when there’s more contrast in the sky. I’m really coming around to thinking Spain might be my favorite country for cycling as long as you get the seasons right.

I’ve been trying to remember where we saw him perform. It could have been Hollywood, but I think at least once was at the Aladdin. Those were sure great years for music in Portland.

It is a great spot, and you’re right about the cathedral. The wooden ceiling is especially remarkable. I was lucky to be there when a tour guide was leading a group through and the ceiling was illuminated for them.

Judging from the photos this may be a hard place to beat. Looking forward to tomorrow for the visuals.
