You should’ve been on that old game show “What’s my Line”!
2 years agoPretty cool sculptures. They make me feel good as I know I could blow by all of them with a slow jog. Glad your back in Washington, looking forward to seeing you guys. There is a big fire raging up around Sourdough Mtn . cheers, z
2 years agoI guess we almost got to see you again! We were riding the bridge and trail on Thursday (8/3, yesterday) mid-morning with several of the women who were on our camping outing. It would have been quite the happening if had seen you there too.
2 years agoIt was such a terrific treat to meet you Sandy. A highlight of the day! Thanks for the photo ;’-)
2 years agoI like the professor title. I think it suits Bill very well.
2 years agoThis is just one of many reasons why I love CycleBlaze !
2 years agoRetired '08... But I inspected places for compliance with safety standards. My job was to keep explosives from going boom when they were not supposed to.
2 years agoVery interesting Ed. I would never have guessed it riding through there. Could’ve strapped one of those babies to my rear rack!
2 years agoThanks Bill! But what do you do in explosives safety?
2 years agoYes! The sight of the Tetons on the descent is one of my most vivid memories of the trip.
2 years agoI didn’t know that! Or maybe the unfamiliar names just washed over me. It’s such beautiful country!
2 years agoI did get a Zoology degree from AZ State in '69 so I do have a little background to help do research. A far cry from being a Prof. though! After a career in Explosives Safety, helping folks on bike tours do nature IDs is kind of an outlet for a guy who "would have been happy" with a career doing nature walks.
Thanks for all the great nature shots. That robber fly is particularly nice.
Professor? Wow! I'm moving up!!
Robber fly. They are pretty good at eating pests.

Very cool! I'd love to meet them someday, too.
