Day 23: Rest day

There were lots of noisy pretty lorikeets that kept me from sleeping in.

I rode a few kms out of town to have breakfast here.

Then I went to the botanic gardens.

The gardens border Coffs Creek. These are grey mangroves.

After the gardens, I walked up to the top of Mutton Island.

This is the view looking back towards Coffs Harbour.

The island is a Nature Reserve for the Wedged-tailed Shearwater bird.

I spent the rest of the afternoon swimming and reading.
