Day 9 - Last day on the Trace Parkway

Today we rode our last day on the Natchez Trace Parkway. This parkway is truly a national treasure. If you are a cyclist you will not be dissapointed. Clean roads, little traffic and gentile hills. We still had 13 miles to go to our Motel after exiting the parkway. Lots of debris on the road and rumble strips. Kerry got a flat with 10 miles to go. He missed a turn and had to call support master Jeanna for supplemental directions. By the time he got to the motel Jeanna and I were on our second cocktail. He said he had a nice ride. Neither Jeanna or I were buying that line. Oh yea- he also got rained on.

A friendly mutt at one of the historical stops on the parkway. Sorry dude- I didn't have any treats.

View from a bridge on the parkway. Jeanna said these homes in this area are owned by the rich and famous.
