Train - Geneva to Vevey

Getting ready to start the tour

Bike gear shopping, train to Vevey, more bike gear shopping, trek down to the lake cooling our feet in the lake water, and checked out our bikes.

Petit Dejuner at a sidewalk cafe right under our hotel.

Geneva has a great bus system that we used to get to a sporting goods store to replace some of the biking gear lost with the luggage. Then we rode the train along lake Geneva to Vevey and our next hotel which was across the street from the train station and right on the route we will be riding for the tour.

The tour company got it right with our hotel room in Vevey. The hotel we chose in Geneva before the tour was in a great location at a great price but it was spartan to say the least. One of our rooms had no air conditioning…..

City buses were great and the hotel gave us free fare cards

Bike education and traffic safety starts early over here.

More bike gear shopping…. Then we headed down to the lake to walk along the shore and cool our feet off in the water. The cool water felt heavenly as the temperature was near 100.

Ahhhhh…. The cool water felt wonderful!!!

And the ice cream wasn’t too shabby either. Very rich!
