Pushing bikes up hill paid off

1400 steps and counting....

Rock fall ahead, detour by train to Werfen (it wasn’t because it was cold, freezing and raining).  Ice cave on tap for today. To get there we used multiple modes of transport which all worked together smoothly.  Train to Werfen, bus to ice cave parking lot, feet for 20 minute walk up hill, cable for 3 minute ride up cliff face, feet for 20 min walk in alpine winter wonderland to the cave entrance. Then in the cave we walked up 744 steps and down 744 steps.

Eisreisenwelt, the largest ice cave in the world.
