A few days in Wellington

After a few days in the national capital, Wellington, we are off to Christchurch to finally begin my cycling adventure but before I leave a few photos of Wellington.  While here we played 2 rounds of golf at the lovely Royal Wellington golf club.

Wellington has a lot of street art and this Quasi on top of the library.

Old St Paul’s church completely made of wood. It is no longer a church but a museum.

The interior of the church. The ceiling looks like a boat hill.

A local pub was donating funds from every pint sold to the cyclone relief effort so we did our part.

A male paradise duck that I saw at Royal Wellington. I heard it first because it’s call sounds like a baby crying.

Several of the cross walk signs are not generic but of figures in history. Here are 2 by the museum of Māoris.
