Last ride in Hawke’s Bay

The famous Gimblett Gravel wine region known mostly for reds such as Syrah.

At the gate. This is the winery where Beth celebrated her 60th birthday. It is also the oldest winery in NZ.

Today was my last ride in the Hawke’s Bay region. I rode out past the Gimblett Gravel wine region one more time to Havelock North where I caught up with friends from home as well as my brother and sister-in-law. They had all played golf after which we got together for some good food and wine of course. After prepping for our departures tomorrow and Saturday we walked to the Mission Estate winery one one last wine and cheese event. We go our separate ways tomorrow with me moving to New Plymouth for some cycling with kiwi friends.
