Cycling before the cycling

The official part of this blog does not start until Mar 12 but there is cycling happening in the Hawkes Bay region so I might as well post some information about the cycling here. There is an amazing trail system as can be seen by the map in the photo. It is all hard packed, flat trails through farmers fields, along dykes and estuaries. The biggest challenge is opening and closing all of the gates to control the livestock and/or all terrain vehicles. I will have posts about the various routes over the ensuing weeks but it will not be everyday.
