Our southernmost stop - Nyack NY

Crossing the Tappanzee Bridge (now called the Cuomo (as in Mario)

44 miles

Another great riding day. Enough overcast so the sun didn't burn but no rain or headwind.

A long stretch on more of the really fine NY trails - part of the Empire State Trail system. John checking out the map of the North County Trailway.

And the view of the Hudson from the new bridge (the Cuomo bridge).

The bike/pedestrian path on the bridge just opened about 5 years ago. It's about 6-8 feet wide. The white line indicates where walkers and bikers should each travel. 15mph speed limit!

Several viewing stops along the way -the bridge is 3.5 miles long - made it possible to safely stop for photos on the way. This is Margaret Smith and me.
