Early ride to Fishkill

The heat advisories were quite wicked but we had a short ride so figured if we started early we'd get into Fishkill before the heat was dangerous. And it worked. Up at 5:30, breakfast at 6:00, load bags on Van after breakfast, and depart no later than 7:00. We were in Fishkill at 12:30 just as it was getting really warm.

Nice ride though. Along the western shore of the Hudson out of Nyack on a nicer park trail.

We liked this sign that told us how far we had come. A little different!

Palisades type cliffs along the trail across from the river.

An abandoned building that we thought might have been an Outpost looking out over the river.

And here's a sign marking the spot of Benedict Arnold's treachery known by just about every kid in 5th or 6th grade.
