Getting Home

Getting home, we took a little different route than on the way to Schärding. We drove through Switzerland (being sure to buy our autoroute vignette!) and spent the night in Neuchatel. We had a great dinner by the lake and a sweet walk along the lakeside as the sun set.

From Neuchatel, we hooked back to the north to visit Poligny, which is ground zero for Robin's favorite cheese - Comté! In the center of this small town, there are no less than 4 cheese shops, all selling Comté cheese and doing a great visit. We loaded up on cheeses that we can't find at our local markets, and then hit the local street market where Robin found a wicker basket she could not live without.

Then a long, long drive home.
