Miles: 52.3, Ascent: 2,525, Descent: 2,585

Another fine day to ride with blue skies. Started chilly in the morning but by 1pm I was in shorts and a t-shirt. Big climbing day with lots of rolling hills

This is the field that Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion crossed to get to the Emerald City

A business on route 19 north of Mercer, PA that was selling homemade stained glass pieces. The mailbox caught my eye since my father was a Mason

Farming is big in western PA and that’s no bull

Towns all over America have beautiful buildings downtown. They are usually courthouses, libraries, or churches. This is the Mercer, PA courthouse

Midday change from long sleeve to short sleeve shirt on the side of route 19 in PA. Being inappropriate again (inside joke with our camping friends from the Midwest)

Pulled in front of the grocery store in Portersville and struck up a conversation with Mike. His son went to RIT so we talked at length about Rochester and biking
