I am baby boomer who retired in June of 2020 after a long career in education. I live in upstate New York with my wife Elizabeth and our Golden Retriever, Granite

I have done a good bit of backpacking becoming an Adirondack 46er in 2002. I was also a long distance runner for 30 years competing in races including 2 marathons. I did two great bike tours before settling on the idea of doing a coast to coast tour. The first was a weekend bike ride with my wife from Passau Germany to Vienna Austria along the Danube river. The second was an 8 day, 420 mile tour with friends through New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
