Very good to know that one should not ear peacock meat and tapioca in the same meal!

If you still have that poster, I'd love to see it next time we're in Portland.

Love that you got to stop at the tea house 2 times during your day in Burma.

"Mae Sai, whose suburbs metastasize block by block" .. brilliant description of suburban growth!

From now on when I'm describing Denver metro, I'll say urban metastasis instead of urban sprawl.

That's incredible! Hope they're not going too far.

Seriously .. I wonder how far they could ride before the guy had to say, "Hon, could you pull over a minute? My shoulder is getting kinda crampy."

Man peeking at woman in toilet stall. A stab at edgy humor but a bit of a head-shaker for us. I prefer your explanation.

Does that sign mean that if a man needs to use the bathroom, he is to first hop on the awkwardly-balanced pogo stick and then see if he can jump down the hall without falling off?

We’ve seen up to seven people on one motorbike! And since they grow up on them they are as relaxed as if they were sitting on the couch.

You know it's been a good day when you can say something like "mosquitoes nibbled delicately on our ankles".. which seems to put them (the mosquitoes) right there in the same peaceful and friendly category as the singing birds.

These guys look like they're having tremendous fun .. but, ay caramba!

If they hit a bump I don't see how the guy on the back could keep from flying off.

There is so much to always learn. I've never been good with knots and I watch guys in Asia who do work everyday where the knot is one of the most important things. Man, do they know how to tie tight knots. I just watch and marvel at their knowhow. They never seem to loosen no matter how rough the ride.

I'm sure you feel the same urgency I do on this matter.

You should write a novel about the curious monk.

I should have taken care to secure our bikes like that on the leapfrog from Glendive to Jordan and maybe I wouldn't have had a slashed sidewall.
