Great it worked out so well! You are lucky to have such great destinations so close.

I don’t like those kind of trails either!

Glad you found a nice alternate route on the way out!

Great news you got out again! Looks like a great apartment. Thanks love out and backs for the same reason you do.

And why wouldn’t he? He’s on a bike ride with you.

I thought it was pretty funny, too... the next day, anyway.

I know there’s nothing funny about losing each other on the trail, but that’s the funniest story I’ve heard lately.

I wonder how long this has been there. Seeing this, I think I remember it from 1999.

No need for captions — your photos say it all. There is a lot to be said about fixed base (we call them ‘hub and spoke’) tours. I love touring ‘with’ you and enjoy your photos and stories. They do make be a bit envious however ;’-).

Looks like a really smart plan, Suzanne. A base with day rides is a great way to stretch the season. Ride when you can, shelter when you can’t.

I second Suzanne’s thoughts. It would be great to see some footage of the PNW in the fall.

Thank you! It's hard not to take good pictures here with scenery like this. I'm sure you have some pretty fine scenery down your way, too. Hope you will be writing a journal.
