Great spot for an overnight. And the first kms on the D10 out of town this morning we’re awesome.
2 years agoBusy is an understatement! So impressed with how you figured out your plans to keep the trip rolling! Way to go!
2 years agoGlad you made it!
2 years agoYou make the flight and getting ready to tour look so easy. Great job!
2 years agoI’ve been so busy with other things that I didn’t see you had a new journal until today. It sounds like a wonderful tour! I’m really curious about the Sweden and Norway part of the tour since I’m half Swedish and we’ve never been there before.
2 years agoI’m glad to see this and have my curiosity satisfied. I’ve penciled Minerve into plans a couple of different times but we’ve never made it there for one reason or another. It definitely looks worth the detour.
2 years agoIt sounds like a great change of plan.
2 years agoHa ha...It always takes a few days to get your systems down when touring with camping gear. It's a whole other beast!
2 years agoYou could take a chance, we have noticed that some campgrounds sell gaz bleu canisters. Happy riding today!
2 years agoThey are lovely! Bike to car ratio almost always greater than 1
2 years agoGood on you for camping right out of the gate! You are also far more organized than us. Reading your post and seeing that you needed to buy a gas canister suddenly lit a light bulb in our heads!! It was on our ‘mental’ list but we haven’t done it yet. Camping was our plan for tonight, but it’s May 1 so our chances of finding an open store is probably low!
Your cycle legs will come back to quickly, great to see you are off to a good start.
We have tried the Canal du Midi several times over the years, and find that every time justifies the saying about hope vs experience.
2 years agoGlad to see you've arrived, and are now on the road! Love the checkered table cloth. A refined and elegant touch. Sue and I also do this when we camp!
2 years agoI agree with Scott the lighting is stunning. I like orange so it makes it that much better.
