Sounds like a nice day!
2 months agoThere are two species of spring flowers here in Portland that are both lovely and completely evil, lesser celandine is one, wood hyacinths (Spanish bluebells) are the other. I'm on a many years'-long battle with the latter, and not done yet.
2 months agoYeah, the first few years I saw them, I thought they were fabulous! Then they spread... fast!
2 months agoThanks for identifying this one. I’ll think about it differently now.
2 months agoLooks a lot like lesser celandine... Terribly invasive. Covers up everything in floodplains/low lying areas. It has only taken a few years to cover areas where there once were an abundance of species in our area.

...and a piece of the Steel Bridge for added spice. Nice!
2 months agoSquirrels have perfected that innocent look. It's all a lie.
2 months agoEither way, it's a squirrel.
2 months agoI knew that. This one was for you.
2 months agoNot for me! One “joined me” in the outdoor pool today ! 🫣
2 months agoYay!!! I miss that place. Thanks for stopping by.
2 months agoLooks like one of those fuzzy tailed rats that eat whatever I grow, from paw paws to blackberries to raspberries to tomatoes and various flowers, not to mention all the black walnut carcasses that are dropped on the lawn as barefoot deterrents... Grrrr!!
2 months agoYes, it does look a lot like a goldeneye though, don’t you think? Anyone could get confused.
2 months agoThanks for the education! You get an “A”, and I just “pass”😁
