North of Heungdeokdong to Ha-ri: Short hop before tomorrow's climb

The plan for today was to have a very short to the base of the only meaningful climb (in terms of length and altitude gain as opposed to short but wickedly steep) on the Four Rivers Route.

We got going after eight o'clock and cycled gently until we found some restaurants clustered around a rail bike operation (little carts running on an old train line). With no idea of what we were ordering except that it contained noodles and no meat, we ended up having a bowl of cold milky
noodle soup with the normal Korean accompaniments.

I'm not sure South Korea has fully embraced tourism.

Then it was on to the town of Mungyeong at the base of the climb. After a break next to the river while we waited for it to be a suitable time to check in at a motel which we did after wandering around the town around a bit.

Today's ride: 18 km (11 miles)
Total: 1,908 km (1,185 miles)
