Ko Chang: Still relaxing

Last night we decided to spend an extra night at Serenity because it has been, well, so serene. So we are still here and plan to leave for the mainland at about midday tomorrow.

Meals at Serenity cost about three times what we are accustomed to paying so we went looking for more affordable options by bicycle. We found a great place near the ferry whre we got some satays and sticky rice for breakfast and some chicken in oyster sauce for lunch. We also picked up a few beers to enjoy on the veranda of our bungalow.

Drinks and the latest book by Bill Bryson. I am not sure if I can handle the pressure.

We have had a great time here at Serenity. We have paddled out to sea for long periods on the kayaks and paddle boards, read "real" books (not ebooks), cooled off in the swimming pool and have drunk and eaten differently to how we have been doing for the past few four and a half months (cocktails and wine western food etc). The break at Serenity has been a real tonic, not that we thought we needed one.

Today's ride: 5 km (3 miles)
Total: 5,845 km (3,630 miles)
