11 Sept to Oshawa
The support team wanted to get the van and trailer out of the hotel parking lot early, but legal street parking ended at 7:30. The plan was to have breakfast in the room and get luggage to the trailer before 7:30. You could have breakfast later if desired.
I was ready to go by 7:30 or so and I took off with one of the riders. Getting through Toronto wasn't too bad, as we had mostly bike lanes and quiet roads. Eventually we started following the Waterfront Trail and there were times we were very close to it. In places, there were big new houses mixed in with the old smaller houses.
It was a nice ride, very scenic. We stopped at some local gardens where I saw a red fox and a hummingbird.
Approximately 9 miles from the end, we met Ken going the other way after he left the vehicles in Oshawa. I rode with him another few miles doubling back and then we turned back towards the finish.
