Day 9 Merritt to Hope

Day 9 done....Merritt to Hope...122 km. Another record today...most kms in a day. And it was gruelling. Took Coldwater road out of Merritt to avoid some of the Coquihalla..it was about 35 km. And then...there she was. I rode up her 8 years ago(I was younger and stronger) Today was hard. Really hard. Uphill for about 10 km...headwind. Again. But boy, when you hit the Summit....it's all downhill to hope ..about 40 km...I got here late, around 8...and found a campsite. Nothing like pitching a tent in the dark!!. Tomorrow...onward to...I don't know?

Up the Coquihalla Hwy I go....steady climb form over an hour with cars going 140 KMH. But once you hit the Summit it's all downhill for 30 km.
