Crossing the Mississippi River

Sparta, WI to Winona, MN

Last night's storms cooled the day off and we started out at 8am after a very nice morning with Larry and Judy, warmshowers.

Look at these farms. Wow!

Empty county roads

We rode beautiful back roads all the way to the Mississippi. This was our highest climb.

Trempealeau is right on the Mississippi

we stopped at Bike and Brew and got a new tube for me and patch kits. Carrie is working away on a bike. Brother Brad owns and runs the shop.

After coffee, we rode down to the Mississippi River

The fellow on the horse is the one who founded this little town.

We hopped on the Great River State Park Trail to ride along the Mississippi
