Porto
Three Days in Porto.
Well. We made it to Porto. We arrived by train, and cycled the last 5 kms along the Douro River into the city center and under iconic Ponte Luiz I bridge. In total, we cycled about 1 400 kms. Coming to the end of a tour is always bittersweet, and, to be honest, always a bit of a blur. You get so used to moving everyday; hundreds of kms passing through your senses. Cycle touring is the ultimate sensory experience, and it always takes some time for the brain to process the whole darn thing. So, I will leave the writing part of this entry for later. Perhaps I will get to it on the plane trip home. There is plenty of time to get it done between here and Vancouver, BC.
