8/28/19 - Rest Day in Sonoma County

Upon checking out of last night’s lodging I headed over to the Charles Schulz Museum. What a great place. Some of it was familiar from 2006 and some of it was new.

I really enjoyed the two new special exhibits Peace, Love, and Woodstock and Peanuts Goes to Camp.

Exhibit tied in a lot of Woodstock Music Festival history

After the museum I drove up to Healdsburg for the afternoon and evening. Walked around town for a couple of hours enjoying the perfect weather. Passed on all the wine tasting opportunities. Enjoyed my lunch.

Chicken taco, fish taco, excellent salsa.

Made contact with Janet, a friend from high school who lives out here. I will be driving down to Oakland to visit for a couple of nights. Then back to cycling on Saturday. By Sunday, Rose will be back from the CA coast and our routes will synch back up.
