8/27/19 - Willits to Santa Rosa
After breakfast and more visiting at our hosts’ home we packed up and headed into town.
Our plan for the next few days varies from the past few weeks. Rose is taking the Mendocino bus west from Willits to Ft Bragg to ride the CA coast to Bodega Bay. I am taking the Mendocino bus south to Santa Rosa for some touring around wine country.
In 2006 I did a short bike tour out here and want to visit a few things over again. Primarily the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, some walking around Healdsburg, and exploring anything else that looks interesting.
No longer am I getting to enjoy weather with high temperatures in the 60s. Nope. Now in 90s every day except over on the coast where it is always cooler. I may ride over in Bodega Bay in a few days.
Bus arrived at the charming little Sonoma County airport right on schedule. Picked up a rental car and took lodging (where I am catching up on this journal).
