Sault to Forcalquier

No alarm this morning. We would have ignored it anyway because it started raining during the night and it wasn't forecast to be so hot today. Besides, we'd already "done" Mont Ventoux.

It was still raining off and on as we packed up and backtracked into Sault for breakfast, once again having café au lait at a café and eating pastries from an adjacent bakery. Al fuelled up better today, a quiche plus two sweet ones. I restrained myself to a single Jesuit.

In the boulangerie in Sault. The oven door opens into the public area of the shop!

A pleasant ride through lavender fields to Forcalquier, enjoying the colours of Provence. It's true, the light here is something special!

Coffee always comes in cups presumably provided by the coffee supplier. We think cafeSenza is a subsidiary of Segafredo. I liked the colourfulness of it all.

I know of L'Occitane en Provence as a chain of shops, though I'm not sure what they sell. We are in Provence; is this where it all started?

Le Tour de France will be passing through a couple of days after we get home. We will have to watch for sure!

We are now set up at a very nice campground (Indigo), with a pool and bar and dinner available too, so we have an option if the current thunderstorm doesn't let up enough for us to want to go the 1 km or so into town for dinner.

56 km, ascent 492 m, descent 755 m
