Day 10: In Grenoble

Time for some normality and high time to get a bike ride in again. At least it wasn't due to sickness or an accident that Janos and I were off our bikes. But the inability to keep track of my belongings was rather unsettling.

Scott mapped out the ride for us. While Rachael went for a hike, Susan, Scott, Janos and I set out for a ride along the Drac river under blue skies. The day has been described in both Susan's and Scott's journals. I'll just show you Janos's video and my pictures. They tend to be rather redundant, but the ride was beautiful and I had a hard time paring down the choice.

Let's start with the video, here come the fields of poppies.

And now for the photo gallery

The Pont de Claix, built between 1608 and 1611, provided an easy way to cross the Drac and ensure regular communication between Grenoble and the surrounding countryside. Still looking medieval with its humpbacked roadway, its single arch, spanning 46 meters and 16 meters high, represented a real technical feat at the time. (Wiki)
