We had a very enjoyable ride out of Casablanca to Mallarauco on quiet country roads. After the two climbs we had a lovely descent to Bollenar, most of which was on a dedicated cycle path which was hardly necessary given the low volume of traffic. In fact, the pedestrians using the cycle path seemed miffed that we were also using it.

We had booked a night at Hotel y Centro de Eventos Los Naranjos de Mallarauco, the only accommodation we could find. There don't seem to be any camping options around here and wild camping would be very difficult because all the land is fenced up and private.

The location of the hotel on Booking.com's map is out by a kilometer or so, so we ended up cycling around a bit before we could find it. It is pretty tatty given how expensive it is but it is really our only option. The restaurant seems to have good reports so maybe it will make up for yesterday's disaster.

It does have a little sauna and a heated pool so we made use of those soon after checking in.
