Day 44

Amite to Popularville,MS

Miles: 75              Elevation:    2225feet        Winds: 6-8mph ENE     Flats: 1

We surpassed  the 2000 mile marker today!

A long day but oh so satisfying  to ride 75 miles, but we all agree that doing it  once in a while is fine but  not everyday thank you very much. Not sure how the big groups do 80-90mile day rides, day after day.

We crossed the Pearl and Bogue Chitto Rivers. We entered our 6th state , Mississippi  today.  It was a very hilly 75 miles and expect that after tomorrow's ride the hilly days are behind us, but I do believe I've heard that before on this trip.

Lyle & Marti rode with us again today, our cyclist friend Abby will leave us tonight as she plans to stay in New Orleans for a few days to tour the city.  We are in New Orleans for the night and part of the morning. We will travel back to Popularville , get on our bikes and hope we gets to Wiggins before the thunderstorms come.

Lyle & Marti join us to ride out of Amite
