Day 45

Poplarville to Wiggins

Miles: 29.39. Winds: low headwinds. Elevation: 1026 feet

We arrived back at the campsite, outfitted our bikes and were off. Lyle is riding with us today, a little bruised & sore from her fall but eager to ride another day.

We again rode some nice back roads and had fun on the rolling hills. Shooters , another biking term for rushing down a hill, gaining enough momentum to get up the next hill. Jeff commented that these roads were like a nice rails-to-trails route. After sometime on old #26 we arrived at the Mill Creek RV site where George will spend the night & we took the car into Wiggins to a motel.A bridge out only slowed us down, didn’t prove to be too much of a problem.

A thunderstorm has given us a rest day which is good as we’ve been riding for 9 days without one.

Will go to Mike & Lyle Montgomery’s for the night. They plan to ride with us tomorrow.

Oops! Hate when this happens
