St. Francisville to Amine,LA

We are in Amite, LA. a 60 mile day with winds from the north.Still waiting for those elusive prevailing Westerly winds to come back. The last 12 to 15 miles were really serene and peaceful going through the woods with the oak trees and greenery, much like our ride through the state park. Cool but nice day for a ride through this pretty countryside . Tomorrow we ride into Mississippi.
We passed through some pretty little towns today on our way to Amite.
As a point of interest, episodes of Blue Bloods and scenes from the movie Dukes of Hazard were filmed in and around Clinton.
Lyle Montgomery and Marti Scheel have joined us today for a couple of days riding.They met us at lunch break and were able to get in 25 miles today. They are friends from New Orleans and some of you may know Lyle and Mike from Ogdensburg. We will see Mike on the weekend.
