Day 8 - Regensburg to Deggendorf

Today was a long day since we had a short one yesterday (94km).  We are now in Deggendorf and it is a short 50+km to Passau.  We hope to be there by noon to enjoy the city since it was under water the last time the Dunlop’s were here.  It was a long day but mostly flat which makes for easy riding but harder on the butt being in the same position for so long. We had coffee in Worth and lunch in the city square in Straubing.  This is a great little place that I would love to spend more time in.    Other than a couple of lovely towns the route was through farmland and not always near the river.  Nonetheless there are always things to experience on a bike trip.

So far we have averaged 67km/42mi per day at an average speed of 17kph/10.6mph.

The photos below are out of order but I am too tired to fix them.

Leaving the town square in Straubing.

What is wrong with this picture. The golden arches in front of a 14th century castle, people must be rolling over in there graves.
