Day 5 - Dillingen to Neuburg

We are now in Neuburg on the Danube after riding 75km from Dillingen.  We did not spend a lot of time along the river today rather it came and went because the trail took us away from the river.  Nonetheless it was again a lovely ride through villages and farmland.  This was the hilliest day so far but still only 1100’ of climbing however some of it was pretty steep and on dirt tracks.

Schloss (castle) Höchstädt early in today’s ride.

What a great use for a vending machine, certainly better than cigarettes. This one dispenses bike tubes outside a bike shop when it is closed.

Patti riding across a small bridge along the trail. The dyke for the Danube is behind her.

Ron and Carol on the Danube, a photo they never would have been able to get the last time.

Sadly we resisted the temptation for a beer.

Modelling my new rain cape. We saw a lady wearing one of these when riding in the rain the other day and I thought it might come in handy in Victoria.

Gail JohnsonLove the cape, can hardly wait to see you wearing it. Looks like the weather has improved and so have the number of smiles. As always, lovely photos.
