To Texas and Beyond

Perfect One Day, Beautiful the Next

Yetman to Greenup Camp

We were riding by 8:30 am after a hearty breakfast at the Yetman Post Office. Light traffic, good road surface and excellent weather on the Bruxner Way soon brought us to the NSW - Qld border.
We crossed the border … the Dumesque River … to the small town of Texas for an early lunch in the bakery.

From there it was another 50km of easy cycling to Greenup Camp. Traffic was a bit heavier in the afternoon. Greenup Camp is an unusual mix of art exhibition, cabins, camping and historic school buildings. Well worth a visit.

We didn’t have to go to Texas. But we did so we could say we cycled to Texas.

Greenup Camp is one of the most unusual campgrounds I’ve seen, it’s also a cooperative of artists.
