Pedal to the Metal

Big Ride

The longest day?
Bingara to Yetman.

125 km pedalled today on roads described in the classics as ‘undulating’. And with a gentle, character building headwind for much of the day. Otherwise the weather was perfect.

We haven’t quite reached Queensland yet but we can almost see it from here. Tomorrow will be a border crossing day.

A  highlight of the ride was discovering the Wallaroo Hotel , Coolatai. They stayed open late when we arrived and served an absolutely superb Sunday lunch.  We also had a great conversation with the new owner. Highly recommend a meal there.

Tomorrow’s plan is to cross the border into Queensland and head in the general direction of Warwick.

Early start from Bingara
