Feistritz an der Drau to Obervellach

Gasthof Zentral was a bit pricey but we were grateful to find a place to stay, the people working there were very friendly, dinner was excellent and breakfast was good, along with good coffee.

We are looking forward to the ride today as we know that the area we will be riding through is quite beautiful and we will be staying once again in Obervellach at Kirchenwurt Pension.

Seavo got to stay in his own garage for the night.

We really like the Alpine hats that men wear in this region.

We are riding in the valley and see homes and farms perched up high .

Today is extremely windy - and it is a headwind. These children are braving the wind to feed the swans in a protected bay.

Such a typical view of this area and so beautiful.

Many red and black Holstein calves on this farm.

Just as we neared Obervellach, the path took a right turn and went up and up through farms along the ridge. Nonetheless, it was worth it and gave us a glimpse of what life is like on these farms that we see

Coming down we see our first glimpse of Obervellach where we will stay tonight.
