Off to Annecy

,lBefore departing for Annecy we each went our separate ways to see a little more of Lyon.  I have tried to see the Museum of the Confluence on 3 previous but it was closed each time so I finally went this morning.  This is probably my culture for the trip.  It was a very interesting building located at the confluence of the Rhône and Soane rivers.    The building itself is stunning and there were some interesting exhibits inside.

Rather than take a taxi, a train and another taxi we hired a car to take us door to door from Lyon to Annecy.  It was more expensive but worth every penny for the convenience and comfort.   It was an hour and a half of air conditioned comfort rather than shlepping luggage and bikes on and off trains.

Annecy is a placed that I have wanted to see for a long time.  It is quite beautiful but crazy busy and apparently it is like this all the time.  I am glad that I came but I doubt that I will be back.

We found this cool bike shop with lots of interesting e-bikes.
