We're back at Crocodile Park and its comfortable kitchen and common area.  Much more comfortable than the basic facilities at the Hebel free campsite.

Monday the 15th of April 2024

If the Dirranbandi Community page on FB is to be believed,  motorists are still traveling from Hebel to Dirranbandi so it is possible we could have got through yesterday.   However we are slowly learning to be mindful of publicly announced warnings Australia so it is probably best that we returned to Lightning Ridge.

Today was the day for properly stocking up on groceries and getting our laundry done.  The artesian water in Hebel stank of sulphur and we would have been forced to wash some clothes in it if we had stayed there.  Thankfully the campground has a rainwater tank for human consumption.

Tomorrow we head back to Hebel.  Two hundred and ten kilometers to be covered to advance less than seventy.

Today's ride: 71 km (44 miles)
Total: 1,650 km (1,025 miles)
