Fun to follow you two over some familiar territory. Congratulations on another successful tour. Have a great summer!
9 hours agoWe used this type of laundromat in San Sabastian it was great how smooth it worked. It was also super clean without the gummed up soap dishes etc.
22 hours agoYou earned the great views down into the gorge! Spectacular place and a tough climb even without the heat.
1 day agoOver here on the Gorges du Tarn, they aren't eating at Grandma's! We are hoping the road will be quieter Monday morning.
1 day agoThose cobblestones make me nervous. Do you ride them? At the slightest incline on cobblestones, I walk. They really slow me down. Jacinto fell on the cobblestones in Portugal. He had a bum shoulder already, and that fall finished it off. He had surgery when we returned home. Thus, nervous!
1 day agoWell done! And a great photo
1 day agoHoly moly! I feel as if I were right there riding with you. I hope the night’s rest serves you well.

2 days ago“Campground restaurant!” If only we had those in Canada—where campgrounds are almost always far from any services. But then, they’d probably only have burgers and hot dogs.
One thing I liked about campground restaurants in Spain was that you could get food much earlier than a regular restaurant. They catered to their clientele.
Enjoy your rest day!

Thanks for an interesting journal. We also preferred the two to three weeks rides, easy to achieve riding in your own back yard without a 12 hour plane journey. It used to be common at one stage in the tandem community to quote the combined team age. We are now 158 going to 160 this year. The Grampies would also be in this range.
