Jeff, I recently discovered your journals and have come to the conclusion that you're not really a computer programmer. Being able to write code well enough to create this website with the left half of your brain, then turn around and write this poetic prose with the right half....  well, it's just too unbelievable that any single person is that talented and able to fully utilize both halves so competently.

Then, there's the photography. I saw the thumbnail for this journal when I was first exploring Cycle Blaze a couple of years ago and it's remained my all-time favorite photograph of all the journals I've seen. That's saying a lot. And how, exactly, do you manage the photography skills? The third half of your brain?

No, clearly you're three people masquerading as one. You can fool everyone else, but my IQ is almost in the triple digits... you've been found out.

Thanks Steve! Of all the things I've written, this entry remains the one I'm most proud of.

Perhaps because all our blogs are “home made”, and the platform is “home made” I don’t quite expect to run in to “book quality” writing here. But that is short sighted, ignoring the fact that we have Jeff Arnim among other greats in the lineup. Thanks for this inspiring chapter!

I’ve been in enough of these chilling windstorms to “see” the ice cold wind coming across the lake. I felt the cold before I even read your caption. Well pictured.
