For Our Next Trick

We've traveled more than 3,000 miles in the last eight days. At a speed of no more than fifty-five miles per hour in an old, heavy, under-powered Volkswagen Vanagon this is no a small achievement. The long journey has taken us from Southern California all the way to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Virginia Beach. We're spending a couple of days here with Kristen's friends before doing the same in both New Jersey and New York City. When the wheels of the van finally stop spinning four days from now we'll find ourselves just down the road from Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. That's where we'll pick up our bikes, load them down with everything we own, and start turning the cranks on another long cycling adventure that will bring us back to the Pacific Northwest that we love so much.

And this time Walter is coming with us.

Adventure dog.

It's going to be a summer unlike anything that's come before for Team Hawthorne. We hope you'll follow along.
