Scott Anderson commented on Vicenza - Great Rail Trail and a Fantastic City

Those crowds look like what we saw in Mantova yesterday. We were in Vicenza 20 years ago and loved it then too. It looks especially appealing now that there’s a good bike path east. I didn’t care for our ride from Vicenza to Venice back then, as I recall.

I’m sorry to see your tour draw to a close, K2! I’ve really enjoyed following along. Come back next year!

I wondered about that (the destination, not the wine). Another great town. This is such a rich region to explore, isn’t it?

I assume Keith will be carrying everything in the future. Should work out fine.

Oops! We are going to Vicenza!!! I have done the edit. I am blaming autocorrect. It couldn’t have been the wine could it?

How nice to leave wanting more. Glad you're coming home though.

Yeah, but - where do you attach the fenders and panniers, handlebar bag and under seat?? Also front wheel lacks lots of strong spokes. What an old fogy I am!

You’re going to Venice! You know, I assume, that you can’t take your bikes into the city (unless something has changed in recent years). When we biked there twenty years ago we biked across the causeway and left them at the train station by the Grand Canal.

There were lots of e-bikes at the front of the group. The poor stragglers at the end didn’t have e-bikes 😜.

Those are good words for Dodie’s new knee too. Maybe not traction, but practice and flexible 👍.

I loved it too. We can’t believe we have to leave all this in a week. I am looking forward to a washing machine rather than a bathroom sink though!

And I see he’s taken your good device and is looking up.

I love it. Rather like some of the English instructions in European laundromats

They have some good cycling words in there for you: practice, traction, flexible...
