Indeed, you've got me pegged. Bragging is a big part of my essence. That's why I write these journals.

Two things: I'm really looking forward to reading about your cowboy adventure in the near west, ok, midwest, but the other thing is that there is one other important feature that distinguishes you from other cowboys - your accent. It's a dead giveaway - 'You ain't from around here are you!'

OK, two more things: I don't like to plan a route at all other than starting out from point A, which is essential, but then maybe mentioning an end point of B if that is where the plane is that takes me home. The thing a bike offers is FREEDOM so why would anyone tie themselves down to an exact route everyday? Especially if you have a tent. And the other thing is that I have never found a place that was not interesting. I'm sure Kansas is no different.

Trail plows? You got trail plows???
All we have is crazy swerving ATV drivers and walkers that turn the snowpack into "ripio washboard!"

I hate to brag, but I'm pretty good at skippin' rocks on liquid water too.

Yeah, it's tough to ride on trails like that. Usually, MY Town does a pretty good job of plowing the trails within a few days of a snowstorm. On this particular ride, I found the sun and 40-degree temperatures did an even better job of clearing the trails than the plows.

Thank you for the "10." Sadly, the Russian judges only gave me a "7."

Karen, it's not cold if you are wearing enough clothing.

Well, cool in the northern climates at least. But I did make a sand angel in Arizona once.

It sure is--not only in regard to perspective in photos, but also to perspective of world events. I try hard to consider other people's perspectives, but here in the U.S. it's becoming increasingly difficult.
